During 2018 we immersed ourselves in a project that filled us with enthusiasm day after day:
the construction of a new school in Rosa del Desierto
Something that started as a simple dream is now materializing thanks to a lot of hard work and the support of our partners:
The school has two floors and is located in Charm El-Cheikh, Hay Madrid, a marginalized area of Nouadhibou, on a 216 m2 plot of land.
The general objective is to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 in education, in neighborhoods
marginal areas of northern Nouadhibou, reducing the level of school dropout among students
of sixth grade, because by not successfully passing the entrance exams to secondary school,
They can go on to the next level of study.
1. Strengthen the learning of public school students, who have seen their teaching interrupted by COVID-19.
2. Train teachers, students and families in habits to prevent the spread of covid-19.
3. Employ public school teachers, who have seen their working hours reduced due to health restrictions.
4. Support the families of the selected children, with food; medicines
and health care.
School support classes for children in sixth grade, who do not meet the criteria of the Ministry of Education and belong to vulnerable families.
These classes will be of the main subjects: Mathematics, French and Arabic.
They will be held during weekends, so as not to hinder the normal rhythm of minors in public school. It will last 33 weeks, and each class will last 2 hours a day / 2 days a week.
