We are an International Development NGO that works so that the most vulnerable in desert Africa (Mauritania) have a decent life. Fighting hunger, improving their health and supporting their education.

Our mission is to help the most disadvantaged social classes, bringing comfort to their lives. Desert Rose wants to bring love, care and compassion to the hopeless.

At RdD All our actions, as well as the participation of volunteers and employees, are guided by our code of ethics.

OUR VISION

Bring hope and future to the weakest, those who suffer need. RdD encourages people to follow their development. Covering the basic needs of those most in need by offering them food and clothing, fighting diseases and opening doors

to development; education and work.

ECONOMY

The basic criterion on the use of economic resources is: "Get the maximum efficiency of the money received". More than 90% of the collaborators and expatriate staff are volunteers. Only the country's workers receive financial rewards for their support of the projects;

This procedure allows us to obtain, year after year, an efficiency greater than 90%, that is, more than 90% of the money spent is invested in direct activities, which are those that help achieve the specific objectives of the projects.

Bachelor of medicine and expert in international cooperation projects. with more than 20 years of experience in the field of cooperation and project management;

Dr. Barrio is the director of the projects, he participates and coordinates the projects in all their phases.

Helena Haapalainen

RdD Treasurer & Director

Project Executive

Higher diploma in hospitality, interpreter and public relations with experience in international cooperation since 2001. She is responsible for the execution of all projects in Nouadhibou, Mauritania.
